We
have received emails from dissapointed fans who
waited the whole weekend for the next part of the
"Making of" to appear online. Even on
messageboards like TCB-World.com there were postings
that were asking about the 3rd part, but it did
not happen, of course.
Because of the article in the magazine of the Elvismatters
fanclub we decided to give you a little preview
by showing the pages with photos from the upcoming
book about Lake Tahoe. So today, we have now for
you the update with the third part. We hope you
enjoy what you are about to see.
Author Sue McCasland who came to Germany to make
final changes before the book print starts will
reveal new details about the upcoming release. There
is also a telephone conference with author Sandi
Pichon ("Elvis
On Tour '75") where both fans talk about
their memories with Elvis.
In
the next few days the 4th part of the "Making
Of" will be available on this website. You
will be surprised by that one. Because a person
- who formerly worked for Elvis Presley - will visit
Sue McCasland in the office of Praytome Publishing.
So stay tuned!

Elvis Matters
Magazine No. 21
|
While
the latest "Making Of" (the 2nd one)
for Sue McCasland / Joseph A. Krein book "Elvis
live at Del Webb's Sahara Tahoe - World's Best
Kept Secret" was a little teaching lesson
about Sahara Tahoe memorabilia, the book of course
is not focused on the memorabilia but on Elvis
and his five engagements at the Sahara Tahoe,
of course. We will soon give you an idea of the
great shots by the author and she will share some
stories with you.
In the meantime, the Belgian Fanclub 'Elvismatters'
has published a Tahoe Special in the latest magazine
No. 21. Some months ago, Peter Verbruggen and
David Hamal from Elvismatters contacted Praytome
Publishing for complemetary illustrations because
during their research they learned that there
are only a handful of pictures available. So they
get in touch with the Praytome Publishing team,
who was very happy to contribute pictures to the
article for the fanmagazine. So the pictures in
the article you see below are a little preview
of what you can expect in the soon to be released
book.

Wow!
When we put online the the first part of the "Making
Of" for the new Praytome Publishing book by Sue
McCasland / Joseph A. Krein, we didn't expect that
many reactions by the fans.
The first part gave you a little insight view into
the techniques of creating the layout and restoring
pictures it also documented that author Sue McCasland
came over to Germany to join the Praytome Publishing
Team to have a final look at the pages and make last-minute
changes.
The book contains not only great never before published
pictures of Elvis during the engagements from 1971-76
but also has lots of stories from eye-witnesses and
lots of memorabila for display. Co-Author and memorabilia
collector Joseph A. Krein and other collectors have
contributed never before seen gems.
The second part of the "Making Of" pays
tribute to the memorabilia collectors worldwide. With
Ebay and its auctions there are a lot of faked items
out there. Sue McCasland explains what the memorabilia
is all about and if you pay attention to this "teaching
lesson" you won't get fooled in upcoming auctions
whenever you want to buy Sahara Tahoe memorabilia.

When
in Sandi Pichon's book "Elvis on Tour '75"
the Tahoe-project was mentioned for the very first
time, the fans went wild because a book like that
has never been done before and was highly anticipated.
But despite all the prophecies of doom and reactions
like "Elvis in Lake Tahoe ? You can't do a book
about it, there's nothing you can tell. And the plenty
of pictures which are circulating do not justify to
publish a book.
Of course, the Praytome Publishing team had done a
lot of research before they announced the project.
But not only research was done, they tracked down
many people and fans who witnessed the shows during
the engagements from 1971-1976.
While the "Making
Of" for "Elvis on Tour ' 75" focused
on the different steps of the production of a book,
the "Making Of" for "World's Best Kept
Secret" is done in a different way and sets a
different spotlight on the production. Have a look
at the 1st part...

a good reason to continue with these well accepted
clips.

13, 2008 - The World's Best Kept Secret - Elvis live at
Del Webb's Sahara Tahoe
|
|
The
first step has been made. Unspectacular but still
mysterious - the proof folder. The latest opus by
Praytome Publishing, author Sue McCasland and co-author
Joe A. Krein: "The World's Best Kept Secret -
Elvis live at Del Webb's Sahara Tahoe". Accompany
us on the exciting trip of this project otherwise
you will miss a look of the producer's shoulder which
is a chance you won't have anyday. The comprehensive
research work for this project began lots of months
ago but one thing is quite sure: like Adrenaline 71
- this new Tahoe project will rub out another black
hole in the world of Elvis' history.
The
restoration of old photographs is finished, the scans
of newspaper articles and tickets are done, the interviews
with contemporary witnesses are transcribed and the
artwort and layout are assembled. With today's update
we start our "Making Of" - special about
this unique Tahoe-book. The folder you see above contains
proof sheets of all pages - and there are a lot of
pages in there. With these proof sheets you will get
an idea of the colours how they look like on the final
printing pages. To create proof sheets is a necessary
and important working step in the complex procedure
of producing a book.
Soon
we will give a more in-depth look behind the scenes.
Therefor we recommend you to check back daily for
more updates on this new project.
The
book will be available August 2008. |

|
We
have received the news directly from author Bud
Glass that he has no longer copies of his very first

set a new standard in sharing the private side of
Elvis with his fans. As the subtitle said: You know
the legend, now meet the man.
An Australian Fan club stated that "Behind
The Image is the best book done on Elvis".
Being sold out now, this book will become a high
